BECC certifies infrastructure projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:
Grant and loan funding is available for projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Grants and technical services are available to finance studies needed to complete a comprehensive analysis of a project, as well as to support the long-term sustainability of a project.

Defined as the area in the United States that is within 100 kilometers and the area in Mexico that is within 300 kilometers of the international boundary.

This report is a preliminary assessment of the Sonora’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from 1990 to 2005 and a forecast of emissions through 2020. The inventory and forecast estimates serve as a starting point to assist the State with an initial comprehensive understanding of Sonora’s current and possible future GHG emissions.
