Border 2012 Program

From to 2005 to 2012, the U.S.-Mexico Border 2012 Program achieved its goals and objectives by completing approximately 200 environmental projects.

Border 2012 Program was based on a bottom-up, regional approach, which relies heavily on local input, decision-making, priority-setting, and project implementation to best address environmental issues in the border region. The bi-national program focused on cleaning the air, providing safe drinking water, reducing the risk of exposure to hazardous waste, and ensuring emergency preparedness along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Up to date information may be found at the Border 2020 page.
