Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:

The goal of this project is to address significant air, water, and environmental health problems in Ambos Nogales (Nogales, Sonora and Nogales and Rio Rico, AZ) by developing the capacity for the production and use of biodiesel in these border communities. This capacity-building and demonstration project intends to reclaim waste vegetable-oil and grease, convert it into biodiesel, and demonstrate the use of the fuel in School and Public Sector Safety Vehicles.
