A detailed characterization of the activity of the trucks in the region of Laredo-Nuevo Laredo, provide an understanding of the regional activity of the trucks and their implications for air quality, responsible for state and local transportation agencies border and air quality. With this information, decision makers and planners can develop strategies and policies that address the needs of transportation and air quality in the region as a binational regional level. The data, methodologies and information generated by the project could potentially be used to characterize the activities of trucks in other locations along the border.
