The City intends to clean up a blighted and polluted area along the Alamo River bank that is within the City of Holtville jurisdiction, for a length of 2,798 lineal feet. The proposed project to be funded through the Border 2012 initiative will enable the preparation and implementation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to decrease the amount of run-off and pollutants entering the Alamo River; the project will further clear and grub the area along the trail to eliminate trash and debris, and provide for the installation of barriers to prevent trash, sediment and contaminated storm water from entering the Alamo River.
