The project aims to reduce water and land contamination, and increase environmental stewardship, through cross-border collaboration, community-based habitat enhancement, environmental education and outreach, and citizen science monitoring in the Tijuana River National Estuarine Reserve. These activities are intended to assist in the recovery of federally listed species and conservation of California State Park and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services resources by creating a better awareness and understanding of the importance of natural habitats, and survival and extinction of native species.
