Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:
Grant and loan funding is available for projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Grants and technical services are available to finance studies needed to complete a comprehensive analysis of a project, as well as to support the long-term sustainability of a project.

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board, a government entity, proposes to advance on Goal 2, Objective 2 by implementing a public FOG campaign, targeting businesses with violations and reaching out to them. It will also provide education through community outreach and public awareness through 4 quarterly workshops. The grant will help leverage funds of $49,561 from the City.
