The city of Tijuana is currently dealing with severe problems regarding the proper disposal of municipal solid waste due to the fast growth of the population and lack of proper urban growth. Currently the city does not have an updated solid waste management program. It is estimated that 1500 tons of trash, with aproximate organic content of 45%, are disposed daily. Unfortunately there isn't any oficial studies or analyis that support the estimations. The project will look into all aspects of the current waste program and provide reccomendations for improving the management.
