The project foresees developing a management plan for urban solid waste, special handling, and some household waste with dangerous characteristics generated in the municipalities of Ascension and Janos. The plan will include appropriate strategies for the segregation of waste at the landfill facilities of Ascension to identify the recyclable materials and possibly take advantage of them through its sale to recycling companies. The project also includes strategies for handling and disposing of empty containers that contained pesticides or any other dangerous substance stored in at households and/or generated in agricultural activities in the region.
