Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:
Grant and loan funding is available for projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Grants and technical services are available to finance studies needed to complete a comprehensive analysis of a project, as well as to support the long-term sustainability of a project.

Install and run a solar water heating system in an existing laundry and dry cleaning establishment in Mexicali, substituting the currently operating gas burning boilers. This demonstration project intends to assess the economics and effectiveness of such a substitution, and hopefully to help promote the use of simple, commercially available, solar water heating systems in Mexicali, where solar energy is abundant.
