BECC-NABD Board of Directors reception, Washington DC

Following the public seminar hosted by the Board of Directors of the Border Environment Cooperation Commission (BECC) and the North American Development Bank (NADB), a special reception honoring the institutions’20th anniversary was held on December 3 at the U.S. Department of Treasury Cash Room. The event, held Wednesday evening, featured special guests Marisa Lago, U.S. Department of Treasury Assistant Secretary for International Markets and Development, who provided welcoming remarks and introduced U.S. Department of Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, Fernando Aportela, Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico, and Mexico’s Ambassador to the United States Eduardo Medina Mora. Each speaker noted the special relationship between the two countries and the impact both institutions have had on the border region.
