BECC certifies infrastructure projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:
Grant and loan funding is available for projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Grants and technical services are available to finance studies needed to complete a comprehensive analysis of a project, as well as to support the long-term sustainability of a project.

Within the framework of its Public Meeting held on June 16 in Ciudad Juarez, the Board of Directors of the Border Environment Cooperation Commission (BECC) and the North American Development Bank (NADB) approved the certification and financing of a Wastewater Collection and Treatment Project for Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
