The inadequate disposal of residential solid waste in the canyon leads to water, land, and air contamination and has direct public health and environmental impacts both locally as well as downstream in southern San Diego County. The purpose of the project is to implement a series of activities to improve trash disposal at the community-behavioral level in Los Laureles Canyon, Tijuana.
