Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:
Grant and loan funding is available for projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Grants and technical services are available to finance studies needed to complete a comprehensive analysis of a project, as well as to support the long-term sustainability of a project.

The Imperial county Air Pollution Control District and the Imperial Valley-Mexicali Air Quality Task Force will implement a radio and television media campaign to educate the Mexicali community of the open burning impact to our air quality, encourage a “no burn” mentality, and promote the awareness for the well being of our health and the environment.
