Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:
Grant and loan funding is available for projects that improve human health, promote sustainable development, and contribute to enhance the quality of life in the border region.
Grants and technical services are available to finance studies needed to complete a comprehensive analysis of a project, as well as to support the long-term sustainability of a project.

By educating physicians, nurses, school health professionals, asthma patients,caretakers, and families of farm workers the project aims at: 1. to reduce asthma health care encounters; 2. to increase the number of symptom-free days for asthma sufferers; and 3. to decrease pesticide exposure inside and outside households.
