Projects eligible for certification and financing by BECC and NADB include, but are not limited to the following environmental sectors:

The project objective is to strength the response capacity providing proper training and equipment to hazmat first responders in the areas of McAllen-Mission-Pharr-Reynosa. More than 100 hazardous-material carrying trucks travel through the ports of entry in South Texas. The McAllen Fire Department staff in conjunction with the Mission and Pharr Fire Departments will join forces to work together to update the emergency notification related to hazmat emergencies.
